Vanilla is so hard to work with. I saw one advertised the other

day that says it doesn't turn brown, but damned if I can remember

where I saw it.

nne, I had a feeling that the "ribbon mold" was going to be a

tough one to do. Sometimes they look easy until you start doing

them and then you start scratching your head. The other problem

I figured would be that reds & blues tend to bleed so I was afraid

the ribbon would end up all mixed together. Play around with it

and let me know how it goes.

Thatmakes me think, maybe I will get myself some orange and spice hot tea thismorning! :-)>>Mountain Apple, I think nne got this one? It's great!<<Isn't it awesome??? I just love it. I have been using it a lot as "Macintoshapple" in my fall soaps. I made some bath salts with it, too, and they'refantastic! I love that scent -- it's one of my favorites!>>With that one I'm using MW Open Hand molds, coloring them in red, white, and blue (will beseparate soaps cause I know my micas will bleed), and donating $2 from thesale of each bar to the United Way's Sept. 11th fund. I'm gonna label them"Helping Hand" soaps.<<Colleen, that is SUCH a sweet idea!!! It's great that you're helping out. That is such a creative idea -- very special! I tried making my red, white, and blue ribbon soaps last night, and those are HARD to make!!!
