Guest guest
Hi , I am so glad that you had a good show this weekend. I like to talk to people at shows too! What's the sense of doing them if you are going to hide behind your book! I am really sorry to see you leave the list...I've learned a lot from you. This isn't the note that Terri thought was offensive was it, as I see nothing offensive in it. Take care and please stay in touch... Dee At 08:22 AM 11/12/01, you wrote: Hi, Dee! I was at a show this weekend and had a blast. Mom and I always have a good time at shows, and the gals that run the one I was at in Lowville are always so sweet to us, so that show is our favorite. I'm glad to say that we had record sales for a small/medium indoor show (80 or so crafters). Just a shade under $400. Instead of the initial onslaught of people (which is INSANE), we had steady business all day. Scents/stuff that sold well: Diosa, Jallesia, Sable in soap, lotion and spray (sold out of all those). My lotion bars. Anything to do with winter care. Perfume oils were a surprise hit. There was another soapmaker there (her first year at this show), and I didn't get a chance to go over and say hi until the end of the day. She wasn't exactly friendly-- which means there is NO WAY she could belong to this list because all the friendly soapers hang on the NY lists LOL Compliment of the day that we received that I want to pass on to all you show-doers (is that a word?) out there: I had another crafter who used to do big shows come to our booth (she was just there visiting the show). She said the one thing that really stood out in her mind was that we were one of the few people that she has seen at craft shows who are inviting and chatty. Most people, she says, just sit there and barely talk...or if they do talk, it's rather brief ( " how are you? " " Let me know if you have questions " ) and then they go back to their knitting or whatever. I think the best part of shows ismeeting the people! In all honesty, a sale is great...but I'm happy just having people oooohh and ahhhhh over my stuff in person!! LOL Go forth and be a chat-monkey! Off to fill my Midwest order. yikes! Inthet mail by FRIDAY???? Oy! maryg > testing, 1,2,3, testing...Anybody home? I hope you were all doing shows yesterday that exceeded your wildest expectations! > > Dee > Anyone have... > > > About 5-10 deep tins approx. 2-4 ounces that they could spare? My MIL likes my lotion bar, but she wants something she can " scoop " and apply. I don't have any tins and don't want to buy a bunch of them just so I can experiment for her. > > I will gladly pay for the tins & the shipping if anyone has some they can spare. > > Thanks! > Colleen > Country Meadow Creations > -- > > _______________________________________________ > 1 cent a minute calls anywhere in the U.S.! > > http://www.net2phone.com/cgi-bin/link.cgi?170 > > > > > > Our members map > http://.homestead.com/locations.html > > Our Message Board > http://www.voy.com/21568/ > > Check out these great Molds!! > http://soapwerks.com/martinworld.htm > > Member Kae's Site...
