Guest guest
Dear Forum, It is really shocking to read about the personality clashes among the two reputed organizations viz. TAI and SFDRT. We individuals when get into high positions forget our ethical responsibility and make the people scape goats of our ego clashes. Our primary objective is to provide best possible services to the most vulnerable populations. We proclaim to empower the vulnerable groups and we ourselves violate basic human rights most of the time. It is pathetic to note that most of the time the funding agencies expect the NGOs to dance to their tunes. Same thing happens with the Project Head, their subordinates and consultants. The project head is capable of driving the entire staff and consultant team to their whims and fancies and they think they enjoy supreme power and nobody can question them. Same thing happens at TAI, and the entire gang dance to Lakshmibai’s tune. VHS has showed entire world an excellent model for targeted intervention with its successful project APAC. If Tamil Nadu has showed commendable results in containing HIV, it is because of its democratic leaders who allowed their subordinates and NGOs to function as a well knit team. We wonder whether such democratic leadership happens at TAI. It is high time for VHS to study the problem in an unbiased manner and take necessary action to solve the ego clashes and leadership problems at TAI. Otherwise VHS may loose the reputation and respect it has gained with so many years of hard work in the field.
