Guest guest
You can send Zeke email at zekey@... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi everyone, First and foremost I would like to thank you all for your support for Zeke, myself and my family. The responses we have received have been overwhelming, and Zeke and I are having a lovely time reading the emails, sorry we are taking forever to reply to them all, but we literally have over 200 of them to go through, and seeing Zeke finds it hard to stay awake lately, we cant get through them all so quick. But thank you dearly from the bottom of our hearts. Now an update on the little guy. Sadly, he hasn't improved, yet he hasn't gone down hill more which could be seen as a good thing. He is still sleeping for 20 hours a day on average and he has little energy to move around, so he is confined to the bed. He is in isolation, meaning he cannot leave the house (only for doctors appointments only) and other people aren't allowed to enter our house, because if he catches an infection, it could do him even more harm. Secondly, a great friend of mine has organised a prayer Day for Zeke, which is such a wonderful thing for him to do. I will attach the email he sent me below, and if you can join in, please do. Each and every single prayer Zeke receives is so very helpful. ***************************************************Second, Zekey, my sweet buddy from Australia, is still in need of your prayers since he's fighting his leukaemia. Doctors say only a miracle will cure him, so we need to ask God for one! All of us know God can work miracles. We all thought it would be a great idea to have a Prayer Day for him like we did for . Zekey's Prayer Day will be one hour before his hospital checkup:Pacific Time: 4 PM, Tuesday afternoon (10/17) Eastern Time: 7 PM, Tuesday evening (10/17)England/Scotland Time: 12 Midnight, Wednesday morning (10/18)Brisbane, Aussie Time: 9 AM Wednesday morning (10/18)You may be able to save a life, maybe even Zekey's, by getting your bone-marrow tested. Please do that today! You'll be listed on the world registry.Keep praying everyone!!!!!! God bless you all.We appreciate all of your prayers because we know they're helping.************************************************** Did you know you can also see Zeke and other special children just like him at Make A Sick Child`s Day? You can visit the page I have created for sick children all over the world at http://www.geocities.com/makeachildsday/ I also have had emails about how to donate bone marrow. It may surprise you to how easy it is. All it requires is a small sample of blood, which is then analysed and your bone marrow code is then added to the registry. I myself (even before Zeke was diagnosed with leukaemia) am on the bone marrow registry, and have been for over 2 years now, and sadly, I am no match to anyone in the world. There are thousands of people, just like Zeke who are waiting for bone marrow donors, so please, consider going on the registry, you could save a life!! If you feel you cant go on the bone marrow registry, other things you can do to help leukaemia patients is by donating blood. Zeke has had numerous blood donations himself, and this is because people we don't know, donate a little of their blood to help. You can also donate money to the leukaemia foundation in your area if you are afraid of needles! Every dollar helps, and please know, "There is a cure for Leukaemia, please help us find it". Thank you each and every one of you. It means a lot to us of your prayers and support through this very hard time for us. We couldn`t have done it without you. I will now leave you with a poem that Zeke`s 12 year old uncle wrote for him yesterday. Don't give up! Don't give up my buddy my pal uncle loves you so stay strong stay wide awake for us we cannot let you go I cry for you day and night my hear is under strain I wish I could take your illness away so you can never feel pain again. I will not ever forget you Zeke you are always in my heart close your eyes and see me there you and me are never apart. We`re buddies for life no matter what I'm always so proud of you sweet little Zeke I love you so I am so very proud of you.
