Guest guest
To the Friends and Collegues of Dr. Kinne: Steve Kinne passed away at his home Friday morning, Dec. 20, 2002. He had long been suffering from Congestive Heart Failure caused by a Cardiomyopathy. Althought extremely tired and fighting extreme symptoms associated with CHF, Dr. Kinne continued to practice and be productive. His worst fear was to slowly progress into an incapacitated state and become a burden on his wife and family. His death was sudden. He got up from sleeping, stumbled to the bathroom and collapsed. He wife was immediately by his side and gave CPR until the EMTs arrived. They were not able to revive him. His death was quick and painless just as he had hoped for. He leaves behind his wife Kimber and four young children, Deirdre age 14, Bridget age 12, Ian age 10, and Meara age 7. His wish was to be cremated and to have a simple, informal memorial service. The memorial service has been set for January 1, 2003 at Wauds Funeral Home in Tillamook, Oregon at 11:00 a.m. In lew of flowers, friends may contrubute to a special trust fund that is being set up at Klamath Bank for his children. Guest guest
An experience I had with Steve last Spring, tells a tale of what a great Chiropractor and nice guy he was. I threw a rib out while at the Boy Scout camp near Tillamook and called Steve's office to see if I could get an adjustment, and was told to just drop by. Seems he abandoned an appointment book a long time ago: if people need treatment, you stop by and if the wait and your schedule match, you're in. Well, I had to wait 45 minutes- that place was like the airport at Christmas. When I did see Steve, he did a great job with me and I felt instantly better. I asked why he was so busy that day. He related that he had a heart problem, that he was taking a few days away to receive some alternative care. Seems his Cardiologist wanted to place him on disability and get him in line for a heart transplant. His reply was " I've got four kids under 14 and lots of patients that need me " He took the time to see a fellow D.C. in need (wouldn't take a penny for the TX), and was just thinking of others. I will miss him alot. Ron Johansen D.C.
