Dear Mr. Rasalpurkar,

It is great that you are planning a booklet on TB-HIV co-infection. I would like

to draw your attention to the existing material developed by the Central TB

Division and the National AIDS Control Organisation. (Kindly refer to

websites:www.tbcindia.org and www.naco.gov.nic). In addition there are a no. of

NGOs/ international agencies that have developed commendable material on TB- HIV

co-infection.

In fact, I want to draw the attention of all crusaders of HIV/ AIDS. There is

plenty that NACO, other individuals and agencies are doing especially in context

to IEC material. We are all working in isolation at times totally ignorant of

what already exists. I feel that we could avoid duplication by adapting the

existing material/ resources and put resources to optimal use. Templates of

existing material may be obtained from parent organisations for adatation to

local situations and languages.
