Hi Judy....

I just asked Joe, my dh. He has RA and I joined this list. He says it DOES

happen to him. The DR told him its from the muscles trying to work the

joint (or something along that line). He says to tell you it happens in one

place today and tomorrow it may be in a new hand or foot.

He takes Enbrel and is doing pretty well with it :o)

He is still on Metho, Celebrex, Vitamins, Folic Acid, Calcium, Magnesium.

He has been weened off the Arava. He will start cutting back on the Metho

soon.

Take care. Nice chatting with you :o)

I get real bad flares in my hands and feet. Especially under stress...like

now..my favorite aunt died this weekend, unexpectedly. I have major flares

and it hurts to type. I was the same way this summer when , as some of you

might remember, my father passed away.

My whole family is slowly going and it aggrevates my RA

Painful hugs!

Thank you a. I see that stress is my biggest trigger...whether emotional

or things like stress from school.

Colleen,

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt's passing. May your fond memories of her

comfort you.

Stress is my biggest trigger too. I hope you feel better soon.

Judy, my first symptoms were my hands swelling, didn't know why. At that time

we were helping our daughter paint cabinet doors (about 58 of them which had

to be stained twice then sealed), so I thought maybe it was something about

the paint or whatever causing it. Then my right elbow abcessed and then it

just covered my whole body. At that time I couldn't even stand a bath cloth

to touch me. I've never been so sore and hope never to be that sore again;

took from June 99 to about March

2000 to get back to some degree of " normal " . Then I found a lump in left

breast and on May 9th I had Mastectomy, then 8 chemo treatments which

elimanated all RA symptoms until a month after last treatment and woke up one

morning and couldn't stand up, both knees were affected so again it was about

April 2001 before I could get back to " normal " ... At this time all is

good....so I just say Thank you Lord each day.

Be Blessed,

Becky
