Greetings from Bangladesh.

Thanks for posting of Vijayabhaskar Reddy Kandula from India, about so

call registration fee for forthcoming International AIDS Conference in

Bangkok from 11-13 July,2004.

In Bangladesh, i am fully agree with my Indian friend the registration fee

at US$ 800-1000 is two-three months salary of a NGOs staff, physician.

As i knows some of my friend who had booked his tickets to Bangkok had to

cancel his trip when he realized that the registration fee was twice the cost of

air tickets from Dhaka to Bangkok. I felt very sorry and angry that he was

force to seek this option.

I want to draw kind attention all development country HIV/AIDS sectorial

activists, please raise your voices and do protest against so call

registration fee.
