I hope you had a good sleep and that today is a better day, Kathy! Sorry

that the nurse wasn't there, and I hope she is there Tuesday.

Roseola and shingles are caused by different viruses, human herpesvirus-6

(HHV-6) and varicella-zoster virus (VZV). They are similar in that both

viruses are part of the herpes family and have the potential to lay dormant

in the host (YOU!) after the initial infection and reactivate under certain

immune system circumstances. Typically, you get roseola as a baby and

chickenpox in youth (although I was 18!), but any of the herpes viruses that

infected you as a child can surface again in adulthood. Check out the

wow thanks gina, these sites gave me alot more info than i found on my own!!!

my fever shot up today, i got really light headed and dizzy. i called the dr

and one on call (whom i've never seen) called back and also said it sounded

like this, but wanted me to be seen tomorrow.kathy in il
