I like it set where I can reply to the individual only if I choose. There is

some information that just doesn't need to clutter the list (like if I want

to congratulate someone on something they did or thank them for info- that

needs to go to them personally, only.) Just my opinion. :) Beth

,

The reason they have set it to go to the individual person is that there

are certain topics not to be discussed on the list - like suppliers and such.

Therefore it's set to go back to the person. All I do is if I want it to go

to the list, I pop my address book up and click on Toiletries and click on

send to and it puts a comma inbetween the person you are replying to and the

toiletries address you just put in. But really all you need to do is if you

want to send it to the list instead, just replace the address with the list

address. Really it just takes a bit of forethought before sending the

message- that's all... HTH explain things! :)

Love and hugs,

Kelli :)

What you need to do is click on " Reply All " ...That will send it to the whole

list. You may want to delete the individual's address that also shows up

there ( the one who you are replying to) so that person doesn't get

duplicate messages.

I agree with - I know I'd like to see the replies go

automatically to the list, but I'd let decide what's best for us :-)

What we could do, if the current settings are preserved, is pick the " Reply

to all " option in our mailers, which would create a message both to the

list and to the original sender...

Thanks again, , for all you're doing for us! :-)

I agree, I'm on allot of list and getting through the e-mails and digest is

time consuming. Some things need to be done privately in the interest of

time, something I don't have tons of. Me to, Just my opinion :) Merry

Christmas to All of the wonderful, helpful folks on this list.

God Bless you all,

Oh, I understood how it works - just when you are on 5 other lists that when

you hit reply it goes *to the list* (I do know when to change it to a

personal reply that is not list appropriate...) then it is annoying when one

list out of all is set to go to the individual. And I know (since when I

post I get replies that are addressed to the list as a whole) that I am not

the only person that finds it annoying. I am just used to hitting reply and

it going to the whole list. It is the " norm " . I do go up there & change it

to a personal post when it needs to be - it is backwards for me though to

have to change it to a list post every time.

I am just having one of those days when I have to stand up & say " this bugs

me " for the sake of all the others that it bugs but they are too shy to say

it themselves. Must be the full moon... But super-techno-savvy, I knew how

to remedy it myself. Thanks though - I am sure there are a lot of others

that benefitted from it!

Actually I prefer private setting for reply...that way I know I am posting to

everyone by hitting " reply to all " Other lists in which replies

automatically went to the list seemed to have inappropriate things slip

through on a regular basis.

Just my thoughts.

Yes, the list owner or other moderator can go log in and go edit the options

for the list. I set up to be on digest mode and for some reason I was still

receiving individual postings. This has be quite upset! I certainly hope

the list owner is not changing our individual settings we have chosen for

ourselves. Because I get a high volume of email here and I do not want to be

on individual postings.

I only joined the list a couple of days before the move, and I thought I had

read all the rules for posting. I don't remember this, and I was wondering

if you (or anyone that knows) would explain what we should not post

here--can we share supplier names and ect, or is everything that has to do

with suppliers supposed to be sent privately? I just don't want to mess up

in my posting!

Thanks,

Celeste
