Guest guest
Al, In your case, I think that caloric restriction will kill you rather than make you live longer. From my point of view your digestive disorder, pulmonary problem, and bone problems may all be related to your meager diet. Last time you reported that you ate raw fish daily and frequently ate rhubarb. I told you that the raw fish could infect you with parasites and cause your lung problems. Your new digestive system disorders could also be due to parasites. I have posted about this topic before. Although your eosinophils are low, have your doctor check you for parasites, and *always* cook seafood and meats before eating them. Smoking and marinating does not kill parasites. The rhubarb has oxalic acid which binds calcium. Your calcium level is in the normal range, but the kyphosis is a sign that your bones are decaying as we speak. Forget about theoretical arguments about methionine and increase your protein consumption, get vitamin D and sunshine, add some minerals to your diet substantially above the RDAs. You should be eating at least 150 g of protein per day to try to reverse the decay of your bones. Eat yogurt regularly to populate your digestive system with probiotic bacteria and regulate your digestion. In your condition, you are more likely to die from malnutrition than from methionine overdose. Unless you are able to stop the decay of your body through better diet you will not make it to old642010@... Guest guest
I may have commented before that I think dreams are a consequence of low blood pressure, low flow to the brain, perhaps, and the brain is trying to wake you up. I experienced this with a drug, toprol xl, which is reported to effect the eyes. Your low sodium status correlates with your previously reported low BP. I've read some stuff on anorexia, but nothing to the point, not a simple problem, but it has been cured in young girls. I'm incurring the same problem with motility - I think it's mainly I don't eat enough and don't retain enough fluid. There, I increased my sodium intake and that works for me. Has your IGF-1 ever been measured? Regards. [ ] Al Pater GP visit, blood tests and X-ray report, 24 Aug 2005 Hi All, This post is to provide an update of mygeneral and specific status since I had mylast set of lab tests and visit with my GPon May 2, 2005. Overall, I feel physically less well these days.I have more cough. I have some digestivesystem disorder from unknown cause, and had been quite regular. Sleepaverages five and about three quarter hours. The variation is fairly large however. Dreamsare relatively frequently remembered. My family does quite well, but my sister hashad a reversal of poor tumor markers and showsthe signs of more pain. Mom continues to feel theweight of her 82 years and arthritis progressively. On Aug 24, I had blood drawn for testing and X-raysfor persistent cough and I visited with my doctor on Aug 23. Itwas determined that I was four morepounds less in weight. Below, are my current and previous values for the same type of test results. My interpretation suggests that my Na isnot increased from its low but hardly lowestlevel, creatinine and eGFR (glomerular filtration rate) shows good kidney function, blood immune cells have increasedto maybe healthier levels, hemoglobin isunchanged, TSH is about as low as minegets in CR and ferritin okay again, with my taking150 mg/day iron. My diet has changed little. I no longereat egg whites, mostly due to the postsuggesting that its methionine is too high than Rae's fabulous whole eggspost. I have more variety in vegetables. Please provide to us your comments andsuggestions regarding any of the numbers or diet changes. Here, is my X-ray report:Two chest X-rays for persistent cough and blood tests - X-ray reportOpacity persists in the middle segment of the right middle lobe. The rest of thelung is clear, and the lung is not enlarged. There is a kyphosis present with wedging of several of the dorsal vertebral bodies. Guest guest
I had a persistent cough for months at a time for years and then had chest pains... So I had a chest x-ray and blood tests etc... These found nothing wrong. So I cleaned everything around the house and more importantly where I spend a number of hours at the computer. Well for me it turned out to be some sort of allergy to things like dust / mold. It's all cleared up now and hardly ever cough. --- In , " jwwright " <jwwright@e...> wrote: > I may have commented before that I think dreams are a consequence of low blood pressure, low flow to the brain, perhaps, and the brain is trying to wake you up.
