Guest guest
Oh I don't know if I'd go that far. I go " mmmmm " when I eat my giant veggie salad everyday. To switch to the things I don't like means I'd be eating heavy sauces, lamb, white bread etc. -- stuff that isn't good for me. I'm sticking to the things I enjoy eating. To each her own! The phrase " You can't have that, because you like it, and > it'll be gone in 5 minutes " was heard again and again. Guest guest
It was a poor choice of words on my part. I should have stuck to 'bland'. I just meant that I will stick to foods that have little emotional or immediate physical effect on me. Foods that do not affect the rate at which the fork goes from plate to mouth. That way, I can take or leave as much as I need, which is the only way I can stick to this diet for the rest of my life. For example, if I am feeling tired from overwork and lack of sleep, and I eat a Chinese curry full of sugar and MSG, then I feel wide awake and alert whilst I am eating it. I feel good! But the crash comes afterwards, and then the addiction cycle begins. So I don't eat take-away curries, I get steamed tofu and veggies on white rice, and I could care less whether I eat or not and I just have half a plate. I think someone else on a CR group does something similar. Was it Dean? He just eats the same salad three times per day, so that food is boring, easy to manage, and unemotional.
