I am a regular runner and since there have been a few outbreaks of West

Nile virus in my area I look at how many and where I see dead tweety

birds on the road side.... Not many dead birds lately but to bring

this back on topic (well sorta), today I'm running along and there on

the side of the road is a dead chicken. Now If I was was inclined to

think like Clemens I might speculate on whether she (pretty sure

it was a hen) was from the Greek Little's or the Viet Nam Little's. Poor

critter must have expired while flying over MS on her annual migration. :-)

Well, I'm no Clemens but I did tend to chickens as a youth. I

never saw one fly more than 10' and that was launching from the top of

the coop or some such vertical advantage. So I have calmed myself that

HN51 hasn't landed in Hickory, at least not yet.

JR

PS: I apologize for consuming list bandwidth with humor but it is close

to on topic and mostly true. Laughing is supposed to stimulate the

immune system. Of course if you don't find me funny... I've both wasted

bits and failed. :-(
