Guest guest
Now this makes sense because endurance training increases the lumen of the heart arteries so how could this not be of help? > No matter what their cholesterol level, men who are physically fit cut > their risk of dying from heart disease by 50 percent, a new Canadian > study finds. > > > http://snipurl.com/hcql

Guest guest
Hi folks: As usual the question is: did they discover that fitness reduces heart disease, as they assert? Or, instead, did they discover that people who are sick with subclinical heart disease are less able to exert themselves on a treadmill because of their illness, and also, of course, die sooner from heart disease? I didn't find this particular study, but I did find another closely related study by many of the same authors and wasn't able to determine whether they had controlled for this properly. And again Blair from Aerobics was one of the authors of the study I did find! Guest guest
oops sorry this was meant to be sent off list and obviously sent to the board by mistake. But as long as it was sent to the list, please everyone, only post if you have something NEW or important. Traffic is way up and there will be chaos if everyone posts a comment about every post. Again ask yourself before posting: Is this something that 1800 people will want to read??? Thank you all in advance. ---------- From: Francesca Skelton <fskelton@...> Date: Wed, 31 Aug 2005 21:32:33 -0400 < > Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Exercise cuts heart death risk for men : I'm writing to you off list. Please refrain from sending comments such as below to the board. You can send off list if you like. We have tons of traffic now and the membership keeps increasing. If everyone does this, there will be chaos. I posted about this the other day. TIA for your cooperation. on 8/31/2005 7:42 PM, drsusanforshey at drsusanforshey@... wrote: Now this makes sense because endurance training increases the lumen of the heart arteries so how could this not be of help? > No matter what their cholesterol level, men who are physically fit cut > their risk of dying from heart disease by 50 percent, a new Canadian > study finds. > > > http://snipurl.com/hcql

Guest guest
What's wrong with the comment? I read many comments and musings from posters here that post MANY times per day more than I do. I don't appreciate your comments. > > No matter what their cholesterol level, men who are physically fit cut > > their risk of dying from heart disease by 50 percent, a new Canadian > > study finds. > > > > > > http://snipurl.com/hcql
