The organization works among vulnerable populations with a mission of “sustainable health & nutrition development for women and children”. CINI works with a Life Cycle Approach (LCA) focusing on critical stages of lifecycle, i.e. pregnancy, the first two years of life, and adolescence. The LCA Cell in CINI coordinates the activities in various implementation units and is responsible for technical support and institutionalizes learning from programmes contributing to building the much-needed evidence base in the country on various aspects of reproductive and child health. Position Description Member of LCA Programme Support Team. Will work closely with the LCA Cell members, CINI Chetana Resource Centre (CCRC) and responsible to Assistant Director (LCA). Will be responsible for coordinating, providing and acquiring necessary inputs to build appropriate and need-based capacity in all LCA implementation units. Will work as a key team member of the LCA Cell and contribute towards continuous improvement of LCA package. Responsibilities 1. Facilitates and carries out needs assessment and continuous follow up through regular field visits to all LCA implementation units in order to build sustainable capacity of implementing agencies, including organizational and technical capacity. 2. Coordinates, designs and develops capacity building methods, manuals and tools in collaboration with CCRC and other resource agencies. 3. Organises and conducts needs-based training and other capacity building activities in coordination with CCRC and other resource agencies. 4. Promotes regular and informed communication about enabling and capacity building activities with the CINI family and supports the development of capacity building methods for more effective, comprehensive and scaled up programs. 5. Supports the creation, adaptation, harmonization, and dissemination of electronic and printed capacity development tools, promising practices and lessons learnt, in close collaboration with Implementation Units, CCRC and other partners. 6. Participates in annual progress review and development of long-range plan for LCA related work. 7. Contributes to publication of lessons learnt and LCA newsletter. 8. Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars internally and externally. 9. Any other task as assigned. Qualifications and skills • Masters degree in social science or related field. • At least 3 years experience in management and/ or capacity building of community-based health programmes. • Should possess strong writing and oral skills in English and Hindi/ Bengali. • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Internet. • Willingness to travel at least 30% in a month. • Ability to work in a team environment in an openly communicative way is essential. Salary: INR 180,000 - 216,000 per annum consolidated (negotiable) _____________________________________ 2) Documentation Consultant (State Reproductive & Child Health Initiatives) Location: Ranchi Backdrop In Jharkhand, one of the EAG states, health care is a priority area. Government of Jharkhand is committed to provide quality reproductive and child health (RCH) services based on a life cycle approach, with special emphasis on reaching out to remote and difficult areas. Maternal and child care improvement, gender and human rights issues and services to disadvantaged groups will be given highest priority. CINI Jharkhand Unit is a major partner of the Department of Health, GOJ and is engaged in providing technical input and capacity building support to the GOJ and local NGOs for smooth and effective implementation of RCH programmes. Position Description Will be responsible for documenting the RCH programme initiatives in Jharkhand state and will coordinate with the Health Secretary or his nominee at the Health Directorate/ Secretariat. Will report to Unit In Charge, CINI Jharkhand and work closely with Additional Director, CINI. Responsibilities 1. Develops, compiles, collects and collates all information from relevant health department officials, technical agencies and NGOs. 2. Writes in a clear, fluent, concise manner, produces written communications that are appropriate and readily understood by the intended audience, organising information in a logical sense. 3. Prepares project level documents, process documents, case studies, and promising practices capturing both planned and intended outcomes. 4. Prepares materials for publications, reports and meetings. 5. Presents and confidently conveys ideas and information in a clear and interesting way meeting target audience needs. 6. Liases and negotiates with appropriate personnel in government, academic and private sector organisations. 7. Undertakes literature searches and reviews, maintains a watching brief on state, national and international health and development activities and shares relevant information internally and externally. 8. Contributes to institute-wide projects as required. 9. Any other task as assigned. Qualifications and skills 1. Masters degree in social science with a public health degree (preferable). 2. At least five years experience in management and/ or documentation of community-based health programmes. 3. Experience in working with multiple partners, government, donors and other key stakeholders. 4. Should possess excellent writing and oral skills in English and Hindi. 5. Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Internet. 6. Willingness to travel at least 20% in a month. 7. Ability to work in a team environment in an openly communicative way is essential.
