Guest guest
I have various lotion recipes and I'd rather not use beeswax in them as it seems to result in a heavier lotion. Can I substitute emulsifying wax or stearic acid? Would the proportions be the same? Can any of the emulsifing agents in a lotion recipe be substituted for another? I see many of the recipes with borax in as the emulsifiers and I'd rather not use that but I'm not sure I can just fill in with what I have on hand. I'd really appreciate any help you can offer :-) Thanks, Debbie kadolphd@...
Guest guest
Debbie, Yes, I've used stearic acid in place of beeswax (same amount), and it's turned out really good.
