keeping blood glucose and thus insulin low

It seems like CRON is a lot about keeping glucose/insulin low for the maximum

amount of

time each day. We do this by minimizing calories, and some of us, by consuming

them in

smaller time periods each day. Plus, we make sure the calories are absorbed

slowly to

keep the insulin response down and that the calories come in a great variety of

nutrient

dense healthy foods. Some of us exercise after eating to minimize the length of

time

glucose stays high. All very logical and we hope true. But I have some

questions about

how to best achieve the goals.

Is there a glucose dawn effect where your glucose rises even though you eat

nothing and

does your insulin rise with this glucose rise?

What happens to your glucose level after a cup of black unsweetened coffee when

you

have been fasting?

Similarly, does our glucose rise after taking Sam-e on an empty stomach while

glucose is

at fasting levels?

Same question for L-Arginine Pyro-Glutamate? If yes, then what other

supplements also

cause this?

When you have a late night snack does your glucose/insulin stay high a lot

longer while

you sleep than the same snack during the day? Any idea how much longer?

Or, asking something similar, should we always wait 3-4 hours after a meal

before taking

a napping in front of the TV or going to bed?
