Guest guest
While I am not of the medical community, I think that genetics predetermines your ending age, and that we can influence that ending age one way or the other. I don't think that exercise actually prolongs life, but it sure improves the quality of life quite a bit. I used to run 1 to 3 miles per day. I felt pretty good. However, the most functional exercise, or the most beneficial to my day to day life, was resistance exercise, or weightlifting in some mode or another. So for me, I do resistance work, ride the mountain bike or hit the treadmill for endurance, and kinda watch what I eat, but not as well as most on this list. All in all, my quality of life is dramatically improved over the couch potato methodology.
