A surgeon who happens to be HIV positive may carry out

all his duties including surgery provided all the

universal work precautions/infection control

measures/barrier methods are scrupuously followed.

The medical condition of a doctor suffering from AIDS

will determine the levels of duties s/he is capable

of performing effectively.
