Guest guest
Hi All, This not pdf-available paper shown excerpted for the abstract below may pertain to the subject that there may be CRers in the general population. It does so from a negative slant for the implications of CR, possibly and unfortunately maybe. I feel that there is no real motivation to do CR except from the to me unexpected findings that abnormally low caloric intakes are good for health and long life. When there is CR in the general population of Western societies with their high access to food, it almost certainly is due to an underlying pathology. Such pathologies reduce life expectancy. Our results suggest that, to some degree, health status variables are associated with decreased ER, supporting a true caloric deprivation state.
