Guest guest
Hi Margaret, I would give out free recipes and articles on soapmaking geared at beginners, and geared at using herbal infusions for the water part of the recipe,(to comply with the earth day concept, and to advertise your herbs), with a section at the bottom that says all ingredients available at your shop. In the meanwhile, have kits all ready packed up for sale, which correspond exactly to the requirements of the recipes and instructions you have given out, including things like gloves and masks and goggles. Perhaps you could even make up a special recipe for the occasion. After all, time is money, and there must be interest generated in your shop, for your day at the table to have been worthwhile. You could even make a big batch of the soap, and give out tiny little samples with the recipe and your card or flyer attached. There must be something they don't have, or why would they bother to come back - what about the ingredients, but they have to pop in to the shop to get the quantities and ingredients. Good luck, Lez.
