Vasai Responds to HIV/AIDS

A unique response form the community of Vasai marks the commemoration of the

World AIDS Day in this region. As an expression of solidarity to the cause of

HIV/AIDS

Vasai Region AIDS Control Society

Announces its mobilization of all the educational institutes in the VRACS region

A region wide rally will cover the area of 2 Municipal councils and 16 gram

Panchayats. Each rally will be led by the local elected leader who will then

address the entire gathering at the culmination point of the rally.

All participants will then gather at a central location for the next part of the

commemoration. This includes an inter educational institute Street play

competition. More than 45 schools in the entire VRACS zone will participate in

this event.

The event thus targets not just the youth but also their parents and teachers,

community leaders and elected leaders along with the government bodies. More

than 15000 people are expected to participate in the event.
