Guest guest
Dear Sir/Madam ASI and NACO are preparing a guidelines for the doctors relevant to India. I do agree with the views of Dr.Soloman that because of unique disease pattern for HIV/AIDS we need seperate guidelines for mamnagement and treatment of HIV//AIDS. We know that in India, hetrosexual transmission is the main mode transmission of disease. The disease is linked with stigma. Therefore keeping this in view the diagnostic part must be limited with specific laboratories have all the diagnostic facilities and only they should declare wheather the case is HIV+ or negative. Further, we should make clear that a doctor esp. general practitioners who is involved in the management and treatment should strictly follow the guidelines including the ethical issues.
