Thoughts on the Shocking life.

Hello everyone!!!! I am well into the fourth year of post ICD life

and that was after one and a half years with a pacemaker.

I have been Zapped once (1) .

I want to thank Jon Duffy for this forum he has provided for those

of us living the " Shocking Life " . The opportunity to find out what

others have experienced and to learn from thier experiences and

insights has been a wonderful therapy for me. I continue to be

amazed at the courage and fortitude of people such as stacie

(Lighting Paws). Can you imagine being shocked 2500 times in just a

few years? Stacie is one of my heros!!!

Of course there is Jon Duffy himself. Without enumerating his

accomplishments I want to tell him that he is also a Hero in my

books.

I was reading the various posts this morning and it struck me that

I would like to be able to meet some of these people personally so

now I will get into the crux of this message.

We should try to have a Get-together, Convention, Gathering.What

ever. There are literally thousands of people leading the shocking

life and a multitude of stories and a wealth of knowledge out there

but the best venue at the moment for sharing as far as I know is

this forum.

What do you people think???

I realize that there would be many problems and objections but I

personally think it is a good idea.

It shoudn't matter what type, brand or origin of device. Politics

shouldn't be an issue.
