HI all,

Just a happy note about my daughter to balance all the complaining I

do. We had parent/teacher conferences at her school today. Her teacher

said that andra is unusually empathetic and articulate for her age.

I believe that this is due in part to her therapy and to the suffering

she has done with OCD. So there is a silver lining.... :o)

Take care,

Lesli (Bay Are)

Hi Lesli:

How incredible and wonderful that someone as young as andra can develop

empathy and be so articulate as a result of suffering from OCD and learning

how to cope with it. She is very lucky to have you guiding her through this

demanding process. It gives me hope that this can happen for my Steve too.

He has the articulate part but is still working on the empathy!

Thanks for sharing this. Take care, aloha, Kathy (H)

Hi, Mike!

What a wonderful day that must have been! I am Ann, a very

silent but faithful reader of the ...and have had my ICD some

two years now.

Your description of your daughter's (and your) special day are

especially heartening...I am also an ordained person whose kids have

talked about my celebrating their weddings at some future date. As

of this writing, neither of my two seem to be headed toward the

altar - but at least there is hope that their mom might be able to

fulfill this dream when the time comes.

Peace and blessings -

Thank you , everyone, for your good thoughts and

blessings.

Ann,

I cannot think of any greater joy than to be asked to

officiate at your own child's wedding. I am glad to

have survived long enough to actually do it. I felt

proud of my daughter and an unexpected sense of

connection to my new son-in-law and his family.

My prayers for you to also be there when the time

comes for your kids' time comes.

Hi mike,

I am a long time zaper (1998) and my wife and I live only 30 minutes from the Baseball Hall of Fame. We have been there many times and never tire of all all the exihibits. Hope your daughter has a great trip and enjoys the Hall of Fame.

My daughter loved the Hall of Fame. She also loved

watching the Angels play the Red Sox in Boston. She

enjoyed her visit to Hershey Park where she went on

the tour of the fake factory and a look at the strange

concoctions Hershey makes that we never see in stores.

She's in Philly now doing the historic tour then

they'll be off to the Big Apple for the last part of

their honeymoon.

She decided that the east coast is a foreign country

with its own culture that she's not used to. She grew

up in California and Hawaii and feels like a fish out

of water in the east. But she is enjoying her visit.
