Guest guest
Just thought this might be interesting for some of you out there: A study done on the life-span of the housefly under CR. Of course, they have not included optimization of nutrition as a standard so... Excerpt: "Results of previous studies indicate that caloric restriction extends the life spans of a broad range of species; however, the present finding that the life span of houseflies is shortened by decreased food intake indicates that the life-extending effects of caloric restriction are not universal. In particular, the present results are seemingly inconsistent with those reported in a closely-related insect species, the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster." http://www.fasebj.org/cgi/content/full/18/13/1591 ~Mich Stay in the know.
