Guest guest
And Happy Thanksgiving! I just got my ICD 2 weeks ago and I am so glad you let me join your group. I am 50 years young and I was having V-Tach so often it was happening right in front of the docotr and I didn't even know it. I thought the feeling was just how it was, another part of my life with cardiomyapathy. These new ICS's are pretty cool though. I had them show me how they check it wirelessly and apparently I am going to get some sort of modem at home to send the data to the docotr with. And the surgery was amazingly painless and easy. So easy that I am having a difficult time obeying the " rules " ; especially the cell phone one (I am left handed). Also, why is it I can't lift my arm over my head??? I find that when I wake up in the mornings that is where my arm is. What damage should I be concerned about with that? I guess being new to this I worry too much about doing something that will cause the ICD to not work properly. I wish there was a test button or somethhing I could check it with ever so often.
