Guest guest
Thanks for that info, Fran. One thing I forgot to mention is I've been using an electric toothbrush for maybe 8 years. It seems to make the tartar smoother at least (ha). The result is the scaling takes a minimum of time. Most of the time is devoted to bottom inside front teeth for tartar, so I use a Colgate tartar control (which maybe doesn't have that much effect). I attempted the scaling myself but I just don't like the steel against the teeth, and I still have to go for a checkup each year. Regards. [ ] Careington Dental The name of the online dental plan is Careington Dental. Here's the info from my son:Here's the link specifically to the dental discount plan:https://www.careington.com/p_oneplandental.aspxIt looks like the current rate is $108/yr for self + family. You can also check online for a list of providers who accept it. Basically the way it works is you present your card (or member #, your regular dentist also would keep the info on file) when paying for the service, and the provider charges you a set discounted rate - usually around 20% lower but I think I saved more like 40% on my root canals - which collectively was at least a couple of thousand $$.
