Guest guest
Hi All, This post is to provide an update of my general and specific status since I had my last set of lab tests and visit with my GP on May 2, 2005. Overall, I feel physically less well these days. I have more cough. I have some digestive system disorder from unknown cause, and had been quite regular. Sleep averages five and about three quarter hours. The variation is fairly large however. Dreams are relatively frequently remembered. My family does quite well, but my sister has had a reversal of poor tumor markers and shows the signs of more pain. Mom continues to feel the weight of her 82 years and arthritis progressively. On Aug 24, I had blood drawn for testing and X-rays for persistent cough and I visited with my doctor on Aug 23. It was determined that I was four more pounds less in weight. Below, are my current and previous values for the same type of test results. My interpretation suggests that my Na is not increased from its low but hardly lowest level, creatinine and eGFR (glomerular filtration rate) shows good kidney function, blood immune cells have increased to maybe healthier levels, hemoglobin is unchanged, TSH is about as low as mine gets in CR and ferritin okay again, with my taking 150 mg/day iron. My diet has changed little. I no longer eat egg whites, mostly due to the post suggesting that its methionine is too high than Rae's fabulous whole eggs post. I have more variety in vegetables. Please provide to us your comments and suggestions regarding any of the numbers or diet changes. Here, is my X-ray report: Two chest X-rays for persistent cough and blood tests - X-ray report Opacity persists in the middle segment of the right middle lobe. The rest of the lung is clear, and the lung is not enlarged. There is a kyphosis present with wedging of several of the dorsal vertebral bodies. There are multiple healed rib fractures present. There appears to be an area of lucency [lucent - Bright; clear; translucent; translucent - Partially transparent; permitting light to pass through diffusely.] [in] the shaft of the left humerus [The bone of the brachium, or upper part of the arm or fore limb.]. The previous films are not available for comparison, but the current appearances seem similar to those reported in August of 2004. CT would be necessary for further assessment of the pulmonary lesion. Further films of the left humerus are also recommended.
