Suitable candidates are sought for post of Program Manager and Program Coordinator. POSITION: PROGRAM MANAGER (JOB CODE HYD-JJ-PM0805) LOCATION: HYDERABAD REQUIRED: In-depth knowledge of prevention, care, support and treatment issues related to HIV/AIDS, a thorough understanding of care and support for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS, and demonstrated experience and skills in leadership, communication, and program management. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure appropriate implementation of agreed upon strategy • Evaluate and select program implementing NGOs • Develop program activities in consultation with implementing NGOs • Provide day-to-day supervision of staff • Leverage technical support from related organisations/programs and liaise with key stakeholders • Supervise all aspects of programme evaluation and reporting • Provide orientation and training for staff and implementing NGOs • Maintain ongoing communication with SAATHII leadership and provide needed research and informational materials. Some evening calls may be necessary. • Oversee program budget and financial assistance for implementing NGOs and maintain regular financial records • Support resource mobilization and address program sustainability issues for replication/scaling up of program • Participate in related advocacy and networking efforts MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • A university degree at the post-graduate level or higher in health or social sciences. • At least five years of experience in HIV/AIDS programs and demonstrated experience in program management. • Familiarity with HIV/AIDS issues related to children and women. • Full proficiency in spoken and written English and either Tamil and/or Telugu. • Exceptional inter-personal, written, and oral communication skills. • Demonstrated leadership, research, and presentation capabilities. • Experience in working / liaising with NGOs, government agencies, corporate bodies, bilateral and multi-lateral agencies, and international organisations. • Ability to manage human and financial resources and work independently, as a team player and with multiple sectors. Job Description: SAATHII is looking for a suitable individual for a six-month process documentation training programme, which requires a broad knowledge of documentation principles and techniques, current health sector issues (particularly HIV/AIDS) and project management and monitoring. The principal role of the Process Documentation Training Coordinator will be to arrange interactive and activity-based training to enhance the process documentation and information dissemination techniques and skills of the trainees. The training programme will include a series of workshops by various resource persons, and associated assignments that will relate to actual projects the trainees are involved in. The Coordinator will also have to adapt all modules for the training programme into a user friendly manual and assist in developing an online version of the manual. The Process Documentation Training Coordinator will report to the Country Director - Programmes & Development / Calcutta Office Director, SAATHII. Skills and Qualifications Required: 1. Strong knowledge base and skills in process documentation principles and techniques. 2. At least five to seven years of experience in health related work in India (particularly HIV/AIDS), including programme design and implementation, reporting, research, monitoring, evaluation, financial and human resources management. 3. At least three to five years of experience in direct involvement in process documentation work. 4. Fluency in English and Bengali, both spoken and written. 5. Graduation or higher degree from a recognized university preferably in health or social sciences. 6. Sound computer skills (including use of Internet, Microsoft Office and DTP software). 7. Experience in working / liaising with NGOs, government agencies, corporate bodies, bilateral and multi-lateral agencies and individual resource persons. 8. Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment, with demonstrated leadership, communication, networking and presentation capabilities. 9. Willingness to travel within West Bengal will be necessary. Salary (consolidated): Salary will be commensurate with experience and expertise. A six month contract will be offered.
