Guest guest
The Humsafar Trust with assistance from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation has set up a health post at its Vakola Center in Santacruz. The doctors at the health post are looking into various diseases that have erupted due to massive flooding in the last one week. The medical services are available to all affected people. A team of 10 outreach workers from Humsafar Trust have been working selflessly since Monday in the Santacruz East, Vakola, Kalina and kurla areas. They are visiting every residential colony informing people about the medical services and helping people access treatment at the health post. However the flow of people walking into the health post has been so high that we are facing extreme shortage of medicines. We have made an appeal to Sion Hospital, KEM Hospital and Hospital to help us access medicines. But at the moment these hospitals are also facing a shortage and we badly need some basic medicines right away. We appeal to everyone to help us buy medicines so that the services at the health post can continue uninterrupted. We are not looking for cash or cheque donations but request to buy some medicines and send to it our center in Santacruz. If anybody finds it difficult to send the drugs to us you can call us on 26650547 / 26673800 ( Contact person : Girish Kumar ) and we will send our staff member to get it collected from a convenient place in MUMBAI and THANE region. We need the following medicines 1) Tablet Doxy 2) Tablet Flagyl 3) Tablet Chloroquine 4) Tablet Septron 5) Micogel cream 6) Soframycin cream The medicines can be procured from local chemists and can be given at The Humsafar Trust Contact : Girish Kumar 1st Floor, Old BMC building Vakola Market Nehru Road Santacruz (E) Mumbai 400055 Phone : 26673800 / 26650547 Please note that this health post will be functional till Saturday 6th august and the doctors are available from 10 am in the morning to 5.00 pm in the evenings.
