Guest guest
Make your own herbal and aromatherapy shampoos using this simple base recipe. Difficulty Level: Easy Time Required: 2 hours What You Need: 1 oz. dried Soapwort Root 2 quarts spring water 15-20 drops essential oil Here's How: Crush or grind soapwort root. Place ground root in a glass bowl. Bring water to a boil. Once boiling, poor over ground root at let steep an hour and a half. Once cooled completely, filter through a coffee filter or cheese cloth into a clean glass bottle or jar. Add your choice of essential oils. Tips: If using herbs, add them to the bowl and steep with the soapwort. You will need to use more than you normally would with commercially prepared shampoos. Don't be alarmed if you don't get the same lather as commercial shampoos.
