Guest guest
- Yeah, I give my own and in my belly. I started off in the arm thinking that would be better then my tubby but I was wrong. It stung bad! I hardly feel it in my belly and as I said earlier all of my oncologist's I have seen have recommended to keep using it. It has really helped me and hope others can get some quality from it as well. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
no not a nurse, not sure why then my doc does not want procrit unless its the trial drug Nilotinib which I am on at 400mg a day. as for my arm heck I get so many needles that I do not have a good place to prick myself.. but that may change soon, was supposed to get a portacath this Monday but some technical proglem came up so they are trying for this thursday, that may end any problems and if approved for Exjade that will end that problem as well. I read the side effects of Exjade and they are similar to Nilotnib, and Procrit. Heart ears eyes etc.. the list of side effects are on the web site so I will go along with my Onc doc and avoid Procrit unless it becomes absolutely necessary Skipd --- Cogan <ncogan@...> wrote: > Hi Skip, > > I went to your link re: Procrit............it is > from an attorney's office, > not the best source of medical advice in my books!! > > Here is what was written: > ESAs have been shown to cause increased deaths, > non-fatal heart attacks, > strokes, heart failure and blood clots in dialysis > patients receiving > higher than recommended doses > > I think a key thing here is " higher than recommended > doses " ...........when > Dr. Druker Rx'x with Procrit, he only wants your hgb > to get to the low end > of the normal range.....between 12 and 13........and > not higher.
