Guest guest
Thank you for summarizing the teleconference with Dr. Nimer. It sounds like he has a sense of humor, warning us about looking before we cross the street! I was interested to read that he thinks most of us may reach normal life span. My dr. is a colleague of Dr. Nimer at MSKCC, and won't say that. My dr. tends to be somewhat of a downer when it comes to long-term survival, and I'm doing well. I'd like to hear someone tell me I may reach normal life-span age. in NY ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone. Guest guest
Hi , Dr. Nimer isn't the only expert I've heard say that we can expect to live out a normal life span. I've also heard Dr. Talpaz say it. I guess doctors are just like the rest of us...some of us are more positive and optimistic than others. The next time you get a case of the " what if's " , just think of Skip who's been living with CML for 3 decades and is still going strong....and most of that time was before we had any of these specialized drugs too! Take care, Tracey
