Guest guest
Hi all, I was diagnosed June 2006 and have the problem with weight gain and edema. There are days the scale jumps 6 0r seven pounds. Naturally it is also the day I usually have an appt with my internist to check my blood pressure and coumadin level. He always says if I have time I should lose some weight(tongue in cheek). I am going to be 74 on April 1st and my weight has stayed stable except for the days the edema is in full swing. I also shrunk a couple of inches in the past 5 years so I look heavier . When I was 5'8(now-5.6 " ) the weight that I was, was okay.I belong to Curves and walk as much as I can, but I become too tired to do much. I am on 400mgs Gleevec and not too many side effects. The good news is that i am still in Zavie's 0 club. My last fish probe was 3/21 and % of cells(out of 500)is 100% So everyone hang in there. You are all a great group. I may not post too much but I read every message that you all send. Love you all Love, Hugs and good health. Ceil New York City
