Guest guest
I can sure relate. did something similar to that a few years ago while installing an above ground pool about 4 ft x 15 ft. and after working from 6:00am till 7:pm putting it up, ran his Big Wheel into it, collapsing the side and caving it all in, loosing what water 3-4 hours put into it. My DH turned purple and really freaked out. We didn't stick around to watch HIM lose it. Turned out he hadn't secured the railings yet while still stretching the liner??????????? Oh well, he survived it. My DH I mean...

Guest guest
Hello all. I watched intently to all the messages in regard to the hypo- pigmentation caused by gleevec, as I was getting ready to go to sunny Mexico for a vacation. Well, I am back now, and what I have to report is " man, this gleevec makes my skin weird " . My skin colour changed from slightly tanned to white as a ghost in a matter of hours every day. I used lots of sunscreen, starting with a 45 and working my way down to an 8. I did manage to get colour...but it faded almost as quickly as it came. I did the sun bed thing before I went in order to get a base. I did not burn in the sun-bed as I was very careful. I halved the time recommended everytime I went in. For the first 6 days of the vacation I did not burn...on the last day....I sat in the shade and got a sun burn. Not a hugely nasty one, but enough to be a little painful. I have been back for 4 days and noone would believe I was ever there if they went by my skin colour. The burn was completely gone in two days. I have been retired for ten years so I used to be tanned all the time. Weird eh? (Can you tell I am a Canadian?)
