Guest guest
Hello Tracey and Friends, My first FISH test (upon diagnosis in late November) registered 100 percent. As of this morning, the latest FISH test indicates I am at 24 percent. I know this is good news (my doctor said as much). I have been on 400mg of Gleevec since December 1. My doctor is wonderful and kind, but her English is difficult to understand (she is Chinese- American). Therefore, my probing of her for additional information is sometimes difficult. Based on my latest FISH test results, do you believe I am making good progress? In addition, I will be relocating to the Dallas area by September. Anyone know of a great CML doctor there? Thanks in advance for any information. Wayne

Guest guest
Hi Wayne, It looks like you're right on track. You've achieved a major cytogenetic response and you've only been on the drug 4 months so that's well within the goal of treatment. I suspect that you'll be zero on your next test, in which case Zavie will be giving you a zero club number. I hope someone answers your question about a referral to a doctor in Dallas, if not, may I suggest that you repost the question using that in the subject line.
