Guest guest
I don't think the biz site is their business. It is very simple to buy a domain name that is the same as a well known web site name, and do something with it. As a matter of fact, this is a way some people make money. They look for odd spellings of a good site and buy that. Or they will change the last extension when buying the domain name. Such as this example. Global Light purchased dot net because dot com was already taken (in an unrelated field of business). So someone sees how much money GL is making and says " ahhh--if I buy the domain name using dot biz, and sell the same products as the dot net company, people will think I'm the original dot net company and buy from me instead!! " And people do. I have met the owner of GL and I doubt seriously that he would undercut his own customers from his dot net business. That would be suicide if his customers found out. samala, On Sat, Apr 5, 2008 at 7:31 PM, Bob <winestien@...> wrote: > Doe's any body know about these 2 different web-sites that seem the > same, But are different. Guest guest
wow--I'd suggest writing to them and ask if it's the same site. I'll be surprised if it is. samala, On Sun, Apr 6, 2008 at 10:06 AM, bob Larson <bobList@...> wrote: > the site with the cheaper prices has an " about us " page that shows the same > folks, same pic, so it appears it's also them. > > > > -----Original Message-----
Guest guest
You know, I've read where there's a way to copy a whole web site and change just a few things. If you notice on the biz site, there's no phone number listed, no photo of them and the background color is different. I'm going to call the monday and ask them about it. Looks to me like they are being ripped off. Maybe not--but it hardly seems like the way that man would do business. It would be different if he had a sign on the biz page saying " this is our overstock stuff " . But he doesn't. samala, On Sun, Apr 6, 2008 at 10:06 AM, bob Larson <bobList@...> wrote: > the site with the cheaper prices has an " about us " page that shows the same > folks, same pic, so it appears it's also them. >

Guest guest
Yes, but if you notice that the top banner is always empty on the biz site, and no phone number, except on the page you list here. Like maybe they forgot that phone number when copying everything. Well, we'll know tomorrow when I call him to find out. samala, On Sun, Apr 6, 2008 at 1:30 PM, bob Larson <bobList@...> wrote: > this is on the .biz site: > > http://www.globallight.biz/custom.aspx?id=3 > > same folks, same globallight network. You must have a resellers license and purchase 500.00 bucks at a time. I was excited for awhile, The prices looked pretty good.
