The AIDS India 2005 Conference Theme is Transfer of Knowledge and

has the following goals:

1] To provide updates on HIV epidemiology, transmission and

advances in prevention;

2] To focus on Antiretroviral therapy with reference to resource

constrained settings;

3] To integrate social sciences into VCTC, PMTCT, ART, Vaccines and

Microbicides;

4] To empower PLWHA to work with experimental drugs, vaccines and

microbicides;

5] To understand the basics on how to transfer knowledge from those with

resources to those without - from care providers to those infected with HIV -

from educated and literate people/communities to those who are illiterate - from

urban to rural populations.
