Guest guest
Welcome back. And welcome to our new site. We have been working night and day to complete this site by January 1, 2001 and are very excited as this site will allow us to bring you many more features than our previous site. In the next few weeks, look out for our new directory. Our goal is to have the most comprehensive directory for ADHD on the internet. It will include: physicians, clinics, eeg providers, psychologists, therapists, naturopathic physicians, herbal remedies, products and services for ADHD, schools and more. We will let everyone know as soon as it is released. Our new site includes search capabilities, so that you can search for exactly the information you are looking for. Click here for our search page. Another new feature is our " Find a Chat Friend " You can browse the pages of a guestbook to see if there is someone out there looking to chat at the same time as you. Then just email them and let them know you are also available. Our chat room is always available for your use. Click here to see if anyone has made use of this feature yet. We hope that you enjoy our new site, although many of the same information is here, the new layout hopefully will provide you with variety and enjoyment. OUR REGULAR FEATURES: MOTIVATIONAL TIP FOR THE MONTH The Special Plate Find a dinner plate that is different than your normal set (find a plate in second hand stores, yard sales, flea markets, etc). This plate is used to mark the accomplishments of your children. If they should bring home an " A " on a test, or do something that qualifies as a " Job well done " that child gets the special plate at dinner time. It allows the entire family to be involved and lets all of your children know that you notice their accomplishments. ORGANIZATIONAL TIP FOR THE MONTH New Year's Resolution Sit down with your child and find one way in which he or she can improve over the coming year. Let them know that they do not need to suddenly become " organized " but can work on one small change at a time. For example, they can work on having all school stuff together and ready at the door the night before, or remembering to double check for papers before going to bed. By letting your child work on one item at a time, they will be able to improve slowly and steadily. Working on improvement of " organization skills " may be to broad and vague of a concept. This may cause your child to become overwhelmed and accept failure. Breaking " organization " down into small steps might accomplish the goal.
