Need for monitoring the impact of TI programmes and Concern for Vulnerable States

Dear Forum,

We all know the fact that NACO has been spending lot of money through various

State AIDS Control Societies on Targetted Interventions among high risk group

behaviour people like CSWs and Truckers, for indicators line Condom Promotion,

Treatment of STD, BCC, etc.

But, today, I feel that there is an immediate need to monitor and evaluate the

impact of so much of intervention in various district of different states across

our nation. There is also a need to pay equal attention to the Vulnerable states

like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh instead of diverting all our attention only to the

High Prevelance states so that states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh tomorrow do

not become high prevelance states .
