Guest guest
NOTE: A rough guide to determining your body type is to put your hand around your wrist. If your thumb and forefinger overlap, you are an ectomorph; if they touch, you are a mesomorph; if they do not touch at all, you are a endomorph. But this isn't written in stone. If you're very overweight the above can be deceiving, or you could be a combination of at least two body types. The three body types are described below. ECTOMORPH thin flat chest delicate build young appearance tall lightly muscled stoop-shouldered large brain Has trouble gaining weight. Muscle growth takes longer. Ectomorphs are the lean types. They are slender from head to toe. Most fashion models fit into this category and this is the type most people strive to be. MESOMORPH hard, muscular body overly mature appearance rectangular shaped thick skin upright posture gains or loses weight easily grows muscle quickly. Mesomorphs tend to be muscular and athletic in appearance. They have medium to large bones and their weight is distributed evenly throughout their bodies, with a high ratio of muscle to fat. ENDOMORPH soft body underdeveloped muscles round shaped over-developed digestive system trouble losing weight generally gains muscle easily. Endomorphs tend to have soft, rounded, naturally curvaceous bodies, usually with a high percentage of fat. CHECK OUT THE FRUIT SIZES..... WHAT KIND OF FRUIT ARE YOU? Pears: Endomorphs are good at powering through moderately intense, long-haul exercises such as cross-country skiing, cycling, rowing and football. Their metabolism is often slow and they are sometimes vulnerable to heart disease and injury to the knees and ankles. Celebrity pear shapes are Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno and Travolta. Bananas: Ectomorphs are the ones that are light-framed and are low in fat and muscles. They are the naturals when it comes to endurance activities such as running a marathon. It is easy for them to stay lean and they tend to be less prone to heart disease. Celebrity examples of bananas are Audrey Hepburn, Jim Carey and Elle MacPherson. Kiwis: Mesomorphs are those muscular compact stocky bodies. They respond well to strength training and don't even have to work hard at it. They have to watch what they eat and exercise regularly, since most of them tend to gain around the tummy. Madonna, Sylvester Stallone and Mel Gibson are excellent examples of kiwi shapes. http://www.canoe.ca/Health0007/10_fruit.html http://www.fitnesszone.com/features/archives/body-types.html --- haftaski77 <no_reply > wrote: > What is an " EndoMorph?
