Guest guest
I give up! I am taking calcium with D, slow mag and a multivitamen in the AM, and my regular meds along wiyh Ambien at night I am also on a medrol pack for the past 2 days. Between the muscle cramps every night and being unalbe to sleep, I have all but given up on any and all meds. I am not sure if I have to increase dosages of some, or gety rid of others. ( like Gleevec, LOL). It is now 2:30 AM and I have been trying to go to sleep scince 10:30 PM! I have also taken 2 milligrams of Atavan, You would think that would have knocked me into next week. HELP please. --------------------------------- 8:00? 8:25? 8:40? Find a flick in no time with the Search movie showtime shortcut.
Guest guest
>Hi , If we lived closer we could have a cup of coffee. It is about 5:30 am and I've been walking around the house most of the night trying to stop the cramps in my feet and legs. This cramping is recent for me. I remember people using quinine, not sure if anyone had any real success with it. I think it comes in prescription form also. Good luck! Ellen > I give up! Guest guest
, I'm so sorry you are suffering from terrible cramping. When my husband first started taking Gleevec, he also suffered from terrible cramps. He had a prescription for quinine and that worked quickly and completely every time, so talk to your doctor about getting a prescription. The FDA recently has had warnings about using quinine to treat cramps, but it is worth pursuing. On the non-prescription side, he also found that drinking some quinine water, which has a small amount of quinine in it, frequently helped if he was out somewhere and didn't have a quinine pill. And lastly, he also found that soaking in a hot bath helped the muscles to relax and stop cramping. Hope one or all of these suggestions work for you. Guest guest
I don't have any helpful words for you . I'm going through the same thing and it stinks. I hope we'll all make it through. Sleep when you can and enjoy the times when you don't hurt. I have oxycondone for the pain and it helps sometimes. You will have good days sometimes. Hang in there...big hugs! :{ [ ] muscle cramps I give up! Guest guest
The muscle cramps would not only keep me up, but would WAKE me up, for the first year or so. Then they subsided. I also did a few weeks of physical therapy, and now exercise a little differently than I used to. I never let a day pass without stretching and strengthening. I also soak in a hot bath every couple days. It all seems to have helped. Hang in there, ! >From: Orenstein <ornurse954@...> >Reply- > Mauro <maurom@...>, >Subject: [ ] muscle cramps >Date: Sat, 26 May 2007 23:33:06 -0700 (PDT) > >I give up! Guest guest
- All I can say to that is WOW..... I would be sleeping until next week. Oh my gosh. How about a nice hot bath right before bed? I dont know if you have tried something simple yet or maybe a book, that always puts me to sleep. Best of luck- Maybe time for a different sleeping pill? ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
's got a point there. You know, I never exactly got a good night's sleep with ambien. In fact, often I wouldn't go to sleep at all. I'd just be awake and very, very weird. I do a lot better with lorazepam, even though it isn't exactly a sleeping pill. It really helps me " let go. " For a long time I was afraid to let go, because I was afraid death would get me if I let down my guard. >From: vegasrnjen@... >Reply- > >Subject: Re: [ ] muscle cramps >Date: Mon, 28 May 2007 01:51:25 EDT > >- > >All I can say to that is WOW..... > >I would be sleeping until next week.
