I'm new to the Board and to BFl and at the moment I'm only using Designer Whey protein for shakes in the evenings. I'm also not officially doing a challenge though. You might try going to one of the websites: www.netrition.com or www.vitaglo.com for your products. GNC is pretty high priced. Also some Walmarts carry the bars and protein mixes. Colleen - from CA also!
Guest guest
Welcome to BGL and our group . Sorry but I only drink Myoplex Lite shakes occasionally and mostly use protein powder to make my shakes. Don't know anything about the Results line. Rita Newbie Question about Results for Women Supplement Hi everyone. I am new to this group and will begin my first challenge this weekend. The supplements I currently have for use are the Myoplex Lite shake mix, betalean ephedra free, l-glutamine and a daily multivitamin. This past week I went to GNC to pick up various EAS nutrition bars and I also bought some results ready to drink nutrition drinks. I really liked all the results products. I didn't like any of the Myoplex bar. I tried different flavors of Myoplex Lite and Myoplex Low Carb. So my question is are any of you using Results products instead of Myoplex? If so how do you like it. I have about 150lbs. to lose and since Results carries weight management supplements, I thought it might be better for me, but not sure. Thanks, H. in CA

Also, since this is a lifestyle I want for life.. I want something that I can sustain for life.. and I certainly don't want to be pumping chemicals into my body for life So.. my experience is to forget the supplements. Focus on eating healthily and hitting your 9s and 10s Serenity
Guest guest
, What a wonderful thing you are doing for yourself! You are going to LOVE this lifestyle. one thing that I really like about it is that it doesn't matter if you have 10# or 150# to loose, it is going to work for you. Also, since the program is focusing on YOUR SPECIFIC effort, it doesn't matter if you can lift 100# or only 10#. Since it is based on preceived intensity, as you get more fit, your program gets more challanging naturaly, with out have to hardly think about it. I've never used the Results products, so I can't help you there, and I'm going to agree with Serenity on that. I suggest that you try for 12 weeks to do the program as written in the book, only using meal replacements for times when making or eating real food is just not an option. You know what is going to happen if you do? You are going to see changes in yourself that will astound you, and you will KNOW that those changes are all due to your own hard work. Wouldn't that feel better than saying " I lost somanypounds because I took... " ? This how empowering it will be to know, finally, that you can take controle of your life and change it for the better! Which ever you decide to do, if you eat clean and hit your " 10 " s you are going do do great! Alys
Guest guest
The best way to make this decision is to READ THE LABELS and look at the nutritional info. e.g. the " weight management " bar has more protein than a Myo Lite bar - but has 5 g of fat - 3.5 is saturated. Of the carbs in this bar, there are no sugars - ie all " complex " carbs. then there is the Reuslts " energy " line, featuring soy protein. Some say this is *better* for women (reasons I do not know) others swear by whey protein. To be honest, the only soy I eat is in soy sauce on my chicekn and veggies dumplings (steamed, of course!) - and I haev ahd success on BFL wihtout soy protein. There are so many products out there, it will make your head spin. Some people will swear that they do better without any supplements _ i find that supplements are jsut that - SUPPLEMENTS - they are IN ADDITION TO what you are currently doing/eating. Supplements in and of themselfve will nto do a damn thing for you - but combined with exercise and healthy eating, they can and most certainly DO help. Are they necessary? Absoltuely not. Can they HELP? Absolutely YES. I use Myo RTd's, whey protein, and Met RX as meal replacements - I am nto preparing 6 meals a day. No way. I swear by creatine. Between the weight lifting, cardio, and ice hockey (especially ic ehockey) I swear my legs would be like rubber bands without it. Glutamine - I am not sure if this helps me, but I like the way cyto- vol tastes - and if becuae of the tastes, it forces me to drink and extra glass of water before bedtime to get that extra hydration, (and if that is the only real benefit) so be it. You have to do your own research and decide what is right for you. Jill > > > Hi everyone. I am new to this group and will begin my first > > challenge this weekend.
