Guest guest
Hi, I am very tired and I have no energy. I asked my doctor (haematologist) and he said that my condition is related to my heart condition. I had some episode of atrial fibrillation. I asked my cardiologist and he said that my heart is in good condition. The ejection fraction evaluated by ultrasound scan, is 65% (very good). Another cardiologist said to me that some patients don't tolerate Rythmol (medication to control atrial fibrillation) . In August 2006, one cardiologist doubled my prescription of Rythmol to 600mg (this is the maximum prescription for this medicament). In August 2006, I had three episodes of atrial fibrillation. That's the reason why the cardiologist increased the Rythmol. According to the computer, there is no evidence of interaction between Gleevec and Rythmol, between Gleevec and Coumadin, and, between Gleevec and Monocor. I found some patients taking Coumadin but I didn't find a patient taking Rythmol. However I knew some patients having some problems with the combination Coumadin + Gleevec. The Gleevec interact with Coumadin by increasing momentarily the INR rate for two or three days. I take 3,5 mg of Coumadin. The INR rate is normally controlled between 2,0 and 2,5. For some days, the INR rate jump to 3,5 and come back to 2,5. I met a nephrologist for my kidneys because my creatinine level is high (120-130 for a maximum of 110). So I am worried about the interaction of Gleevec with my kidneys. My doctor said to me to drink more water. There is no evidence of interaction of Gleevec in my case. In the year 2002, my creatinine level increased after I took Vioxx and seem to stabilize since that year. When I took Vioxx, I started to have hypertension. With regards, Gilles (Montreal, Canada, diagx June 2005) doveh12 <deh12@...> a écrit : Hi, Bill. My primary care doctor thought that it might be related to CML or Gleevec. My oncologist/hematologist didn't think so; I would tend to defer to him.
