I have a question ( 2-Part)to throw out to the group. For the last few

years, all my test, fish and pcr have come back negative. I am so

gratefull for that and gleevec is wonderful but my side effects are

horriable. I am nausated and vomiting all the time and nothing touches

it. I have lost my appetitate, and many things that I enjoyed taste

different. COuld this be the gleevec and any suggestion on what I can

do?

I saw my dr yesterday. My counts and all were fine. I have lost more

weight which has not mader her happy. I just simply cannot maintain my

weight. It will stay level for a few weeks and then its like overnight

I drop 6 or 7 pounds without trying. I know the nausea ets can't be

helping but I am at a lost as what to do.

My Dr is concerned and mentioned yesterday about pulling me of Gleevec

and starting the new drug that has just been approved, Sprycel. Anyone

have any experience on that?

Yesterday, I also received the results of my fish and pcr from my last

visit. Fish was normal but the PCr came back showing a 0.01% increase.

They told me it was nothing to worry about but they would be watching

me carefully. Is this something I should be worrying about. I had

another fish and pcr done but won't have the results for about 2

weeks. My concern is that there has been a three month window between

the fish i had in Jan and the one I had Yesterday.

Any thoughts or direction you can give me.

Thanks
