I was diagnosed with CML on Dec. 3, 2003 and have been on 400 Mg of Gleevec ever since. I have quite a few cycling side-effects, but have done just fine continuing my part-time work and care of 2 children. While it is a shock to be diagnosed with Leukemia, I must say that things have turned out extremely well for me. I live a pretty normal life and am thankful for the miracle of medication like Gleevec. Give yourself time to adjust to this news. Be assured that you are not alone.
