Guest guest Posted June 2, 2007 Report Share Posted June 2, 2007 Hello everyone and welcome to the new members, I started my trial on AMN107 Monday past, I don't know how it is going to work and I know I have to let my body adjust to the new drug...but, I have developed a real bad diarrhea. I went through this with the Gleevec and controlled it quite well. The problem is that I am take 3 injections of Sandostatin daily, clorestomine 3 x daily loperamide, lomotil and demerol (not for pain but for the binding effect). I have been taking magnesium occassionally when I get the cramps and it works well and reading this I'm wondering if I should be avoiding it? I sometimes wonder if the trial organizer (Novartis) only lists side effects that they consider most likely to occur. I have since had 1 day, yesterday when I felt shaky and weak for the whole day. Today seems ok, so far. Again thanks for the helpful tips.
