Guest guest
I'm doing pretty good. Had a good workout this morning. My food is still on fitday. My only thing is I switched from fat free cottage cheese to lowfat for price reasons and to get a little more fat in my diet and I am paying severely for it with cramps. Yesterday and today. I am lactose intolerant. Other than that, dieing of cramps, I am doing pretty good. Noelle Perfect Week: JUL 2 Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday! How is your second day going? I was so proud of myself at having gone through yesterday without a single problem! No sneaky bites, no random handfuls of this, no straying outside of my plan, and I felt GREAT! I used to get the munchies so badly when I got home, early to late eveningtime was when I did my most damage. So Monday I started taking my flax oil at around 5pm, and I had NO food cravings at all during my danger times. I think I will try this again today. Other than that, workouts are going well, and I'm feeling good, happy, and healthy! Details from the rest of ya now! How's the perfect week going? -- gnat! Guest guest
So far so good for me. I really had the urge to sneak something yesterday, but I didn't. Today has been fine so far. Tonight will be a test. I am playing Bridge with some of my mom's friends and they always have snacks and dessert. Send me the " eat right " vibes please! Yesterday's menu: Meal 1: Cocoa shake (Myo Lite, 1 tsp cocoa powder, shot of espresso, 1.5 cups skim milk, ice cubes, 1/2 tsp equal) Meal 2: Luna Bar Meal 3: Tuna packet, 3/4 cup sweet bell peppers, 4-5 cherry tomatoes Meal 4: " Fried " rice (1 cup brown rice, 1 cup frozen veggies, egg beaters, protein powder mixed with beef broth) Meal 5: Balance Bar Meal 6: 1 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup raspberries It's funny, but yesterday was pretty unplanned. I don't usually eat too many bars. I did when I started, but got kind of sick of them. The kids and I have swim lessons though, and Meal 2 fall right in the 'car' time. I need to plan better, because the same thing happened today. Today's menu (7/2): Meal 1: Cocoa shake (what can I say, I love it! Cut down on the milk today and used instant coffee). Meal 2: EAS Protein bar, 1/2 cup cherries, pickle Meal 3: Tuna and apple Meal 4: 2 slices 'light' wheat bread, 3 oz turkey, dash of mustard, broccoli Meal 5: Fool yourself cookies, celery Meal 6: ??? I'll be at Bridge! Maybe a Luna bar Exercise good so far. Cardio is tonight before Bridge, have to work at Jazzercise. Hope everyone is doing well! Guest guest
Thanks for the good vibes! I did not create the cookies, so I can't take any credit for them. I love them, though. Fool Yourself Cookies 1/2 Whole Banana, mashed 1 tablespoon Peanut Butter 1/3 Cup Oatmeal 1 Package Hot Cocoa-No Sugar Added 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder 1/2 scoop protein Powder Mix all ingredients thoroughly and drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes 6 cookies, which equals one MEAL (one serving carb/one serving protein). I bake them in my toaster oven. They are so yummy! Guest guest
Not going well for me. :-( I had a shake before I left for physical therapy early today - about noon. On the way home I decided to stop by a store to see what was on sale. The next thing I knew it was 5PM and I HADN'T EATEN! lol I wasn't hungry. Drank lots of water which I had with me. So I had another shake at 5:15 ... Tonight I will just duplicate last night's meal - white bean soup ... I'll grill some chicken tenders and throw it in the soup and have a big salad made with my flaxseed oil and balsamic vinegar. Tomorrow I hope will be better. Guest guest
Sorry you weren't feeling well Noelle. I have a question - what does the fat free or low fat have to do with being lactose intolerant? Guest guest
Well, it is really weird. If I eat or drink whole milk or real cheese products, it kills me. If I eat fat free cheese or skim milk, I'm fine. Milk shakes kill me. I have always thought that maybe it had something to do with the degree of milk ingredient, but I could be wrong. I just know that I didn't start cramping and feeling bloated until I changed cottage cheeses. Do you have any suggestions? Noelle > Sorry you weren't feeling well Noelle. Guest guest
Most health food stores or vitamin stores sell it. You can also get it online at http://www.vitaglo.com , http://www.vitaminshoppe.com or http://www.netrition.com > > Not going well for me. :-( > > I had a shake before I left for physical therapy early today - > about noon. Guest guest
So far so good on the perfect week for me. Actually, I made yesterday day 1 of my next challange, so I guess I could say so far I've been perfect on this challenge...lol. I woke up late this AM, but managed to get to the club with just enough time to do my work out (good thing it was cardio day.) I only have a few minutes (studing for my Algebra final tomorrow!), so I'll not post my meals here. I have decided that I'm going to take a free day tomorrow, rather than two free meals this week. I have a picnic to celibrate the last day of swimming class, and friends are throwing a party tomorrow night. It will be easier if I do it that way. I'm still going to work out, but eating will be free. Glad to hear that everyone else is doing so well. Alys

I had my first good run since I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago - finally listned to Rita and gave it a good long 5 day rest. If I eat a milkshake or ice cream, I'm doubled over in pain. But if I eat fat free or low fat or even sherbet, my body seems to be able to tolerate it. Have you tried any of the lactaid products? Guest guest
I'm sooooooo sleepy today. Yeowzah. I got up, did my UBWO and then it was off to volunteer @ the children's hospital. I work in the all too adorable Toy Store. I always take my big ole' lunch box filled with all my mini meals. But aside from some sleepiness and anxiety about the next few days not being etched in stone, I'm peachy keen! 5 am: UBWO 1: Special K, Peanutbutter, Cottage Cheese 2: Peaches, Pure Protein Bar 3: Chicken, Peas, Tomato with Cream Cheese 4: Corn Tortillas, Salmon 5: Salad, Black Eyed Peas, Chicken, Guacamole 6: Light Yogurt, Salmon > Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday! Guest guest
I know Jana .. I was really upset about missing a meal and I overreacted. Loads of stuff was on sale and I picked up a few good bargains. I have to remember like scale weight - sizes aren't always consistent. I was able to buy mostly 12's but one 14 long skirt that I rather liked and was dirt cheap was too tight. At first I was upset (I didn't try it on till tonight) but then I realized - I got all these 12's - must have been mislabelled! lol I am back on track now. Guest guest
Well my day has gone not too bad - not quite as good as I'd hoped but dh got to M & M Meats too late to get our chicken and we're completely out so I ended up having a turkey sub (6 " ) from Subway for my fifth meal. Too much bread, but not as bad as it could have been. Up until then I ate perfect. I also managed to get up to 8 miles/hour for my 10 on the treadmill this morning - a personal best - but you know, surprisingly I didn't actually hit a 10 (maybe 9.5!). I seem to have had a recent increase in ability there as I'd been only going up to about 7.5 last week. I ran outside twice last week on hills though, so that must have helped.
