Hello Survivors!

I want to thank all that replied with helpful hints for my problem.

Of course, that only encourages me to ask for more. 8-)

I have just found small, white spots, mainly on my arms and hands,

that are very itchy.

I have not have this problem before and have only noticed it since

starting the trial.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Terry,

Of course you should always check with your doctor first but I've

found that anytime I have anything itchy, Hydrocortisone does the

trick nicely. You could also try soaking your arms and hands in

oatmeal.

Good luck,

Tracey

Hello Terry

When I first went on Glevec I read the stuff they gave

me, and of the the things on it was about

some red or purple spots called Petechia, and another

was itchy spots it recommended

Aveeno, With natural colloidal oatmeal which relieves

itch and dry skin, believe it or not I found that it

worked..it has a dark blue cap, the other was

Aveeno and it has soothing oat essance and natural

shea butter I found this one works as well it has a

light blue cap..This was in the reading material for

Gleevec and AMN107 takes a few days but it does do the

job for ME at least.

Terry,

Hello, I am also on AMN. for about 3 months.

No side effects really. I was wondering, were are you on trial?

Hi Terry you did not say the amount of drug your on

I have been on the trial for almost 9 months or so and

I had a lot of pain when they increases my drug to

800mg a day... it turned out to be a problem with the

drug and my pancreas... the pain I had was located in

my middle back and went up and down arm and leg..

after they did a cat scan saw what the problem was

they had me go into med day every day for 10 days,

stopped the drug, hooked me up to something and

flushed me out lowered my amn107 to 400 , and all is

well now.. still get lots of cramps in hands and feet

but that is something else. so just ask about your

pancreas.. I know of a few other who had Pancreatis

while on AMN107...

Hi Skip,

Thanks for the info. I am on 400mg/day and have had 2

Cat Scans, neither of which was conclusive. I did have

stomach pain which was thought to be pancreatis but

that has settled, I hope, for good.

They cut the dosage in half when they first checked

and haven't raised it since my counts are good.

Good luck to all,

Terry

Hi Missymel,

I am in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada.

We think this is God's country...because I'm pretty

sure He wouldn't have thrown all these rocks at

property He didn't own!

Hope you keep up the no side effects, that would be

great.

Good Luck,

Terry
